Peter Pan and the End of the World
What if Peter Pan's story was written during an apocalypse? A poem about hope, innocence, and choosing wonder even when the world seems ready to disappear.
My hands tremble when I think about it,
Is this the end or a new beginning for us?
I will search for the second star to the right
And on till the morning, until the sun shows up.
The world will fall to pieces
But you and me, we are not to blame,
I'll find a way to get us out of here
To a galaxy where our innocence has no name.
We could go dance with the fireflies and run with Captain Hook,
We could live in a world full of hope and die in our youth,
They ruined it there for us,
But they can't find us here.
And when the world will turn to ashes,
We'll just smile and stare.
